Sitting here, while my two favorite people are
sleeping and I
should be making dinner, I find myself enjoying the strong breeze from outside, helped along by our trusty cylinder fan. And yearning for an 18-month-
old's Spring wardrobe (not yet in
existence in this house). Wait WHAT did I just say!?! Spring? A fan? Correct me if I am wrong, but I'm pretty sure it is still January. I'm almost positive that LAST January we were still bundled up. You know, as much as we desert-dwellers really can bundle up given all this sunshine. Oh and another thing, I had to drink
exorbitant amounts of
yerba mate to calm down my allergy-afflicted sinuses. (This, sadly, is a normal January
occurrence for me, regardless of the weather.) All I have to say is that, the unseasonably warm temperatures had better drop very soon or I am really going to get Spring fever, pack up the seldom-worn sweaters and get some
excruciatingly adorable dresses (lots of flowers, frills a must) for a certain little girl I know and clean like a madwoman. Whew! Hey, I've already been doing that latter actually (update on that soon-
ish). That said, I hope you are enjoying your dismal weather elsewhere while I am trying to cool down from a
sweltering afternoon in our 77-degree house. Cheerio!
Oh, one more thing! I have to share this picture from October that a friend just emailed to me yesterday. It was taken at the Harvest Festival. :-)

So with this darling image, I shall leave you to go attend to that dinner I've been putting off.
