Princess Braids

Once upon a time, there lived a kind, gentle Princess whom, though she was very beautiful, took every day of three and a half years to grow a measly amount of wispy, short hair.  However, this sweet Princess believed that she has long, flowing tresses to compete with the most gifted among hair princesses.

But then one day, she overheard an adult at a public place refer to her as "the girl with the short hair."  From that day on, Princess began to tell her mother of the day she would grow long princess hair.  Likewise, she began to ask her mother to put braids in her hair.  She longed to look like a princess, and her hair was holding her back.

Knowing this would be no small task, her mother set out to do just that.

When Princess saw her lovely little braids, strategically held in place with a generous amount of hair spray, she was delighted and declared, "Mommy!  They look like princess braids!"

Oh darling.  Braids, or no braids, long hair or short, you are a princess.  Your kind and giving heart makes you the most beautiful princess in the world.

We have been watching Tangled for 4 straight days & I giggled as Sarah sat quietly with her hairbrush concentrating as she brushed her hair & sang to the tune of Veggietales "Where is my hairbrush". I guess we are all raising little princesses :). Love the braids!!!
